  2. Thank you both for commenting! Planet of the Apes and The Time Machine could have appeared on my list too, plus Blade Runner, Close Encounters and Star Wars IV if we count all the different editions as single films.

  3. Loads of them. Movies I first saw at the cinema, then bought the video, then replaced the video when I got a DVD player.
    Alien/Aliens
    Spider-Man
    Logan's Run
    The Exorcist
    The Shining
    Predator
    Sixth Sense
    The Mummy
    Equus
    Scream 1/2
But that's just the tip of an iceberg.

  6. Wow! It's really unusual for me to watch a film even twice, so the ones I've seen three times tend to be my absolute favourites.

I've left out films I've seen ambiently, like Aquamarine, which gets half a dozen showings a year in our living room.

  7. Without thinking too much.....
    1. 2001; at least 12 times on the big screen, love that 70mm
    2. Zardoz; at least six times. Everyone else hated it :)
    3. Dark Star; whenever it appeared, now have it in DivX too
    4. Dr Strangelove; only once on the big screen but many times on TV.
    5. That's all I came up with.

  8. Last time I saw 2001 was on a tiny black and white portable with bad reception - almost sacrilegious! I've never seen it on the big screen. I'll have to watch out for it coming on at the Electric in Birmingham.

Zardoz I've seen twice. I didn't hate it, but definitely an odd one.
